I had been contacted by the New Orleans restaurant “Pesce” (one of my favs!) upon their inception to see if I had ever done a circus banner of a mermaid. At the time the answer was no. They needed an image of something to print onto a very prominently placed sound baffle at the back of the restaurant and wanted to know if I had anything with a fish theme. I told them that I could create a mermaid piece within about 2 weeks, but if they wanted something sooner that they could go to my website and pick out anything they wanted. To my surprise, the staff at unanimously chose this image for the restaurant where it is still visible to this day.
